Players navigate beautiful pre-rendered environments while battling hordes of Genma demons. The game introduces a revolutionary 'Relationship System' where your interactions and gifts given to sub-characters like Ekei, Magoichi, Kotaro, and Oyu change the branching paths of the narrative and determine who will aid you in the final battles. Master the art of the 'Issen' (counter-attack) to absorb souls and upgrade your elemental weapons including the Buraitou (Thunder), Hyoujin-yari (Ice), and Senpumaru (Wind).

- Probably the best in the series. The gift system adds so much replayability and Jubei is a fantastic protagonist. This repack works flawlessly.
- The pre-rendered backgrounds still look amazing in 4K via the emulator. A true classic of the PS2 era finally playable on my rig.
- Harder than the first game but the Issen timing feels much more rewarding here. Nobunaga is a terrifying villain.
- Great nostalgic trip. The relationship system was way ahead of its time for an action game. Highly recommended for Capcom fans.
- Smooth installation and the controller support is perfect. One of the best samurai games ever made.
